About a landscape that cannot be seen

Collection of images realized in Villa Manin, on the Tagliamento river, and some of the routes that bind them together.

From the very first day, the white road was pointed out as the way to reach the Tagliamento river - a mysterious, almost mythological landscape: a landscape within the landscape.

There, the search for something began; something that appears and disappears, a geography both generic and archaic; something that can hardly be identified except in fragments, points, traces, escape routes. A landscape which is already there, but at the same time becomes impossible - or almost impossible - to see.
